The little pink pills that are the most common sexual enhancement pill were approved by the FDA in the past few years, but they don’t seem to be in any way covered by any drug regulation or marketing plans, the company said Tuesday. And some of them are not in the original packaging, said Michael Kren, president and chief executive officer at the firm. They have been sold in packs of 100 or 200 pills, with a range of doses. Some have been available for less than a month, he said.
“I haven’t seen the label change for any of them yet,” Kren said. But he said the pills are still in the original packaging, as long as they’re approved by the FDA. But the company’s label on the pills says that the pills are not being sold for “natural” use, as it has done on several occasions, he said.
Viagra is sold as a tablet that’s taken orally, and it’s also used to treat erectile dysfunction, Kren said.
“The FDA has approved Viagra for the treatment of the male sex disorder,” he said. “It’s a prescription drug that they have to take under their prescription, but it’s a prescription medication that they have to have the right level of safety and effectiveness.”
The pill comes with a warning on the label that it should not be taken by people with a heart condition, and it’s also not approved for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, Kren said. It also doesn’t treat the sexual arousal disorder caused by low blood pressure, but the company says it can. But the company says it can’t legally buy Viagra or any other prescription medication because it is illegal under a federal law, the Food and Drug Administration, he said.
Kren said that he’s worried about the company’s warning, since the pill is used to treat erectile dysfunction, and it could be used in combination with other drugs, and he believes the company has to conduct additional tests on some drugs before making such a move. The company will also have to conduct additional tests on the pill to make sure it’s safe, Kren said.
“They have to be able to do that, and they need to do that,” Kren said.
The pills are being sold by a drugstore that is in a small group of pharmacies across the U. S., Kren said. The company, based in Seattle, is selling an online pharmacy called Wellbutrin, which has been under development for more than a year, he said. It’s the only online pharmacy he sees in the U.
Kren said he’s glad the pill is getting approved, because it’s the only thing on the market that has been approved by the FDA and, he said, has the FDA approved the drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Kren said that he also was glad that Wellbutrin is available online and that the company was able to get the company’s license to sell the pills in the U. S. It’s still not sure whether the company has the right level of safety and effectiveness, Kren said.
The FDA said that it doesn’t know if the pill has the right level of safety and effectiveness, but Kren said the FDA has taken it under the heading that the pill shouldn’t be taken by people with heart conditions, and it’s still waiting for more tests on some drugs before making such a move.
It also doesn’t have the approval of a generic version of the drug that’s been approved by the FDA, Kren said.
The company’s website said that it has received feedback from users that the pill is “designed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men,” but it doesn’t have the drug approval requirements and is not a regulated pharmacy.
“We are aware of this issue and we’re working to resolve it,” Kren said.
